In addition j2 Global has several issued international patents and several U.S. and international patent applications pending, all covering related technologies.

j2 Global has established patent licensing programs. Under these programs, j2 Global typically grants a non-exclusive license to some or all of its patents in exchange for royalty payments from the licensee. j2 Global may also receive a license to selected patents held by the licensee, for use in j2 Global products. Subject to negotiation, a license to these patents may include rights to j2 Global's technical know-how or other j2 intellectual property.
